I'm so appreciative of all your lovely comments :-) -- thanks so much for taking the time...

@ Gina; indeed, I'm so glad you were able to pick up on that, his dual nature! I always do my best to just follow the lumps and bumps of any rock as I paint -- and this one so clearly had a face, and with the two expressions at that. As such, I actually like to think of him as having a bit of the 'The Blues' in his personality, in addition to BEING blue (the color), heh ;-)....

And as for as paint, nope, nothing fancy here on my end -- I just use the regular ol' acrylics on my rocks that i do on everything else, and always with good results...

@ Stephanie: thanks so much for the super lovely compliment. as well as for your question (always happy to answer questions!) in regards to the brushes I use for rocks. For me, I must confess that, as with the paint, I generally just reach for the same brushes I use for any other painting project. It's very true that rocks with their rough texture can be very hard on brushes, so dedicated 'rock' brushes would probably be a good idea -- I'm just not organised enough for that myself, heh ;-)

So thanks again everyone! -- and remember, always happy to answer any questions....!Patiencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17762943370256912680noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2609222692340777108.post-72247379060958008572012-02-08T19:30:58.492-08:002012-02-08T19:30:58.492-08:00Great job!!!
